the crystal is gorgeous but unfortunately the clasp on my cord broke, probably more my fault than the manufacturer's as i got it caught in my clothes. luckily, the metal loop on the gemstone is wide enough to slip off the cord so it can be reattached to any other necklace threads you might have. i had an identical cord at home, so i used that. the red colour is very pretty.
